Huh.... what a weird image. Wonder if they have orc childcare systems while their parents are off fighting? I can just imagine after the Battle of Helm's Deep...
Nanny orc: Kids, I'm sorry.... none of your parents are coming back.
Kiddie orcs: *cry*
And OF COURSE some people love Ringwraiths. MARY-SUES.

When I was chatting with Aimee at Oxford, we considered setting up a society to protect those creatures which are mindlessly slaughtered in LOTR. Like the Balrog. I mean, come on! It was an endangered species, none had been seen for ages! Do they set up a conservation area, or attempt a breeding program? NO! THEY SMITE IT!

...it killed Gandalf. Admittedly, Gandalf was smiting it at the time, but it would have tried to kill Gandalf anyway.

How do you know? It was a bit grumpy after being woken up, yes, but did it show any desire to harm them until Gandalf began smiting it? IT WAS SELF-DEFENCE!!!

There's no 'arm in 'im, 'onest!
Seriously... if YOU'D just been woken up by someone, wouldn't YOU roar flame at them and stomp after them to make sure they shut the door on their way out?
