Eep! I'd better update then, hadn't I?
Usual warnings - only just finished, maybe crap, and it's still a Mary-Sue. At least you're getting some answers now...
“Jaceth…” breathed the man.
There were two of them. Despite her utter confusion and the gravity of the situation, Ashara felt her heart leap – Sethan could be innocent…
Sethan looked as though he was trying to keep himself under control. He took a deep breath. “You’ve regenerated,” he said in a voice of unnatural calm.
“Had to catch up,” grinned Jaceth, “I think I could have a lot of fun like this.”
“So, the attack on the front gate-?”
“Diversion,” shrugged Jaceth.
“So the main forces are coming from… ahh, the trapdoor from the river.”
“Given how quickly you realised that, perhaps you should have run your recognition of that as a defence weakness past your pals here?” pointed out Jaceth.
“I wasn’t exactly expecting the new head of the Shadow League to turn up here.”
“Uh. That would be a lie.” Jaceth’s eyes fell on the little Ashara. He straightened up and moved towards Sethan. “Is this Ashara?”
Sethan’s grip on her tightened. “What are you here for?”
“What are you here for?” asked Jaceth, “You knew we were going to come here, and soon.”
“I didn’t know why.”
“You could have taken a fair guess.”
“Humour me.”
“Very well. Because Angel and Legolas are big players in the Rebel Alliance. Because the loss of them will be a big blow to morale. Because them not being here will make any future operation in Middle-earth a lot simpler. But mostly because my master is really not very happy with them.”
“Your master – what, so you can get orders from him now?”
“The Emperor, Darth Vader and Sauron are dead,” stated Jaceth, “Three close family members, three loyal servants. All at the hands of the Skywalker-Greenleafs. A desire for vengeance is to be expected.”
Throughout this, the little Ashara in Sethan’s arms had been silent, watching Jaceth with round eyes. \But at this, she piped up, “That’s my surname.”
Jaceth’s eyes slid onto her once more, and he smiled. “Is that right? Are you Ashara?”
Little Ashara suddenly frowned slightly, as though unsure of this person. “Yes,” she mumbled into Sethan’s arm.
“I thought so,” said Jaceth, eyes flicking to meet Sethan’s.
Suddenly the sound of screams erupted from the palace behind them. Both Asharas’ heads snapped towards the noise. Neither Jaceth nor Sethan moved.
“Why are you out here, when the fun’s in there?” asked Sethan coldly.
“Why are you out here?” asked Jaceth, “Sorry to keep repeating your questions, but really. I’m not going to stab you in the back the moment you turn away. It wouldn’t exactly serve much purpose, would it?”
“Just tell me what you want,” snapped Sethan.
“Me? Oh, nothing. Just thought I’d say hi before I got down to business,” said Jaceth sunnily, grinning at him, “And drop in to see little Ashara here… I’m sure I’ll see her again at some point in her future…”
“Not if I’ve got anything to do with it,” growled Sethan.
“Well, that’s just it. You won’t have anything to do with it. This is what’s going to happen. I’m going to walk away from here. You and Ashara are going to walk away from here. And we’ll wait till we meet again.”
“I’m not going to let you-” began Sethan, but Jaceth interrupted,
“Yes. You are. You try anything, I’ll kill Ashara, and then I’ll kill you. I can let you walk away, because I’ll find you,” shrugged Jaceth, “I am also fully aware that if I try anything, you’ll kill me. Thus, this is the only real solution. Shame. Anyway…” The screams coming from inside were lessening. “Must be off. Things to do, people to see. Oh – you’re not going to follow me and try to do anything heroic, are you?” he added, sounding concerned. Sethan said nothing. “I’d rather you didn’t. Please don’t. It makes everything so messy. Just – leave, and get Ashara out of here. I want her safe.”
“Why do you care?” snapped Sethan.
Jaceth raised his eyebrows. “Please, Sethan – I don’t kill children. I’m not a monster.”
Sethan said nothing, but seemed to flinch slightly. Jaceth grinned. “Nice seeing you. And nice seeing you too, Ashara,” he added, bending down to her eye-level, “See you again soon.”
“Mmmmffle,” mumbled the little Ashara, burying her face in Sethan’s arm.
“You’ll never see Ashara again,” promised Sethan, “But you’ll see me.”
Jaceth straightened. “I certainly will.” He started to leave, but paused and looked back. “Oh, I meant to say – Dad’s been in touch. He looks forward to seeing you soon. I wouldn’t disappoint him.” He grinned, winked, and sauntered off towards the palace. Sethan watched him silently.
“Who was that?” whispered the little Ashara.
Sethan blinked, and seemed to come out of a deep reverie. “No-one,” he muttered, “Just a – a not very nice man.”
He turned and opened the door to the ‘POLICE BOX’. Ashara hurried through the door after him, wondering why he was going inside a wooden box-
Her eyes flew open. She was in a bed, in a room. She was no longer in the Palace Gardens at Mirkwood. She was awake.
And Valistar was sitting in a chair next to her bed. “Morning.”
Sethan took a few moments before he began to talk. “Valistar,” he said slowly, meeting Lucy’s, Xanden’s and Obi-Wan’s eyes in turn, “is not an elf. He is a Time Lord. His real name is Jaceth Fett.”
Lucy made to interrupt, but Sethan continued on, “He is the son of Meela Fett - Jango Fett’s sister - and the Master, another Time Lord. The Emperor learned of Meela’s pregnancy, and captured her, forcing her to have the child in captivity, so that he could raise him himself, as a possible future Sith.”
This time, Obi-Wan tried to say something, but Sethan said louder, “Jaceth was brought up under the watchful eye of the Sith, and the Shadow League. He became one of their greatest members, killing hundreds of the Rebel Alliance. He is now the head of the Shadow League, and intends to take over the Galaxy by releasing Morgoth and commanding his powers.”
None of them dared to speak. Sethan sighed heavily. “He also happens to be my brother.”

Oh dear. Again.
Here's another tiny bit - I spent most of my time going back over that last couple of bits, trying to make it all make sense in my head. So I've changed the last two bits. Feel free to go back and read them again.
Valistar leant forwards and brushed some hair off her forehead. “How are you feeling?” he asked.
Ashara couldn’t think. Confusion reigned in her head, and there were a hundred questions she wanted answered. But she knew this wasn’t the time. One thing kept repeating itself in her mind – Sethan didn’t trust Valistar. Considering she knew nothing more concrete, she had to be very, very careful.
“What happened?” she asked in a slightly groggy voice.
“What do you remember?”
There was something a little too enquiring about his expression, a little too probing about his tone of voice. Ashara sensed that he was being just as careful as her. “Not much,” she said eventually.
Valistar settled back in his seat. His face seemed to be one of genuine concern. But, Ashara thought, he’d looked genuine the morning after he’d drugged her…
“Your friends on the Millennium Falcon dropped you off yesterday morning,” he said, “You were in some kind of coma, induced by an attempt at psychic contact gone wrong… they didn’t know what to do. They hoped I could help. I must admit, I know little of the art myself, but an old friend of my father’s was more experienced…”
“Where are they?” asked Ashara, feigning tiredness and confusion in order to buy thinking time, “My friends on the Falcon. Where are they?”
“They couldn’t stay,” said Valistar, not blinking, “Emergency call from the Rebel Alliance, they were under an attack of some kind. They’re going to come back for you as soon as they can.”
“Am I back at Uialtum?”
“Yes.” Valistar smiled. “And we’re very relieved to see you. When I woke up after Sethan attacked and you’d vanished…”
“The people on the Falcon rescued me,” said Ashara truthfully, “They’d been tracking Sethan themselves, and saw what was happening. It was lucky they were passing…”
“Extremely fortunate,” said Valistar softly with a slight smile. “Do you know what the Falcon was doing in the area?”
Ashara hesitated. She had no idea how much Valistar knew. “Not sure, I stayed in my room most of the time I was on board,” she said, “Looking for something, I think. Why?”
Valistar shrugged. “Just wondering how you’d ended up in a coma. None of the crew seemed to have any psychic expertise. How did it happen?”
His eyes seemed to trying to read Ashara’s very soul. “Sethan managed to get on board the Falcon,” she said, meeting his gaze steadily, “It might have been him, he sort of put his hands on my head. That’s all I can remember.”
Valistar nodded. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he was trying to attack you again.”
His face wasn’t giving anything away. Ashara decided to take a risk. “The people on the Falcon – they weren’t sure who attacked us,” she said, trying to sound uncertain and curious, “They said – they said it could have been Sethan… or someone called Jaceth.” Valistar said nothing. “Who’s that?” she asked.

I wouldn't GET myself into that situation - but if I was I'd probably do something stupid and die.

Not many Mary-Sues, at any right. Most are only all too keen to sacrifice themselves to save the world. I think it's the only way the population is kept down.
Hey... maybe situations of world peril are created JUST to get rid of Mary-Sues? Maybe there's some organisation behind it all...
