Right. Uh. Backstory.
I wrote Lucy the Mary-sue Slayer on FF.net, but they deleted it because it was (among other things) interactive. Baaaaasically, I send her to various fandoms, and she saves the heroes from certain...uh....whatever it is that Mary-sues do to heroes.
It looks like the beginning of a Mary-sue, even when you meet Lucy, but I swear it won't.
Also, if you want to be in it, I can write it better with sidekicks.
The raven-haired girl glanced around, and then stepped lightly and silently down the steps. She didn’t need an invisibility cloak-she faded in with the background perfectly, despite her gorgeous white skin. Reaching the courtyard, she detached herself from the shadows, and settled on the bench to wait. He would not be long.
The moon’s light fell full onto her face, making her tragic beauty captivating. Her skin was marble, her hair as dark as the night’s sky, but for the lightening bolt that ran from her widow’s peak to the tips of her hair; none who had been there the night of Voldemort’s almost destruction had not been marked.
As the bell tolled midnight, a Cloak was ripped off a figure a little way away from her, and a boy came quickly towards her. “Lillith” he breathed.
“Harry,” she replied. “I have to speak with you.”
“I assumed that was why you sent me a note, telling me to meet you here.”
Lillith blushed, making her skin glow prettily in the moonlight. “I...I had to apologise for my harsh words earlier. I shouldn’t have said that about your father.... he died bravely, I swear.”
Harry stared at her. Their argument earlier, about their respective parents, had made him angrier than he had ever been before. But it was his entire fault; he knew she was nothing like her father. “I forgive you.”
Her violet eyes snapped to his, wide with disbelief. “You do?”
“Yes,” he whispered. At some point they had moved closer, so that their faces were almost touching. She swayed towards him; he closed his eyes, waiting for her kiss...
An axe came swinging out of the night, and Harry’s hair was ruffled as Lillith’s head was severed from her body and bounced away.
A whoop filled the air, and yet another dark haired girl ran towards him. “I got her! Finally! She’s been hiding for weeks, but I got her!” She laughed with delight, and Harry blinked.
He shook his head and looked around. What was he doing here? He only remembered finding a note on his pillow and glancing down to read it...and now he was here, about 4 hours later. “Who are you?” he asked the now dancing girl.
She froze. “Me? Oh, I’m no one. Now, help me burn the body.”
“What?” She sighed, and pointed.
“Look. It’s Lillith’s body. We need to get rid of it.” He stared blankly at her. She glared at him. “Oh, I suppose you can’t help it. Right, let me explain. I’m Lucy, the Mary-sue Slayer. Lillith was a Mary-sue. She got you to come down here by putting a jinx on the note she gave you, giving you an entire set of false memories, and a need to visit her here and now. I slew her. I need to get rid of the body. Sadly, the Author hasn’t given me a wand yet, so I need to you either give me a load of petrol and some matches, or use the Incendio thingy on her. I don’t care either way, as long as it happens some time soon!”
Harry didn’t think she’d helped much. “Mary-sue?”
She groaned. “Look, I’ll explain on the way upstairs, but for now.” Lucy grabbed his wand out of his hand, and waved it at the head and body of Lillith. “Incendio!” she cried, and flames consumed the deceased Mary-sue. “Now, up we go before we get caught.” She took his hand, and began to drag him towards the castle.
“Wait a moment.” Harry stopped suddenly, went back, and returned with his Cloak. He draped it over him, and pulled it over her head as well. “Now we won’t be seen.”
“At last. A hero with a tenth of a brain.” Lucy frowned. “Although, I have no doubt that you’ll lose it soon enough.”
Harry frowned at her, and started towards the castle. ”So...what’s a Mary-sue?”
please be honest.
