Ah.
Oh dear.
Well, here goes (bearing in mind that I've just obliterated half my story, so it's a little confused at the moment)
-->Archos meets Aimel (this may not be her name) and is too shy/proud/stuck up his own **** to tell her, or in fact, say hi.
-->He tells his beloved, charismatic, more attractive brother about said Aimel, and how wonderful she is
-->Brother (Unnamed as yet) goes off to meet Aimel, and see what the hell his brother is on about.
-->Aimel and brother fall in love, and run off together, hoping that Archos will forget about the pair of them.
-->Archos spends a while looking for his beloved brother and beloved, thinking that something bad has happened to them, but not coming to any cohesive conclusions. Meanwhile, Aimel and Unnamed have many happy years together, having two children; Robin and Neraida.
-->Either Archos realises what's happened, or someone tells him (His mother?), and FINALLY finds the lovers, after 14 years.
-->Archos is unhappy
-->This is a part of my story I don't think about often, because it gives me nightmares, but he kills Unnamed, rapes and kills Aimel (while he knows Neraida is watching), and takes away Robin. (He meant to take Robin AND Neraida, but she ran away)(She is about 4 at this point, and Robin is about 13)
-->Robin is brought up by Archos, they part amicably, and he eventually marries Meg, a Tudor girl, and has Dan. He is happy, and a generally well-rounded man all his life. I don't know if he and Neraida ever meet again
-->Neraida, on the other hand, is completely screwed up for the rest of her life, and has a varied career including being the Greek Goddess of Fertility, possibly Lilith (Adam's first wife) and the Queen of the Fairies.
MANY YEARS LATER. AS IN, SEVERAL MILLION
-->Felicity and Neraida meet, via a child Felcity is looking after, who Neraida abducts from under her nose, but gives back when Felicity asks her nicely.
-->Neraida, liking the look of Felicity, cultivates her acquaintance, until they are best friends (but Felicity doesn't know about her Queenness)
-->Felicity, on the way home to Ireland after visiting her parents in America, crashes and floats, half-dead into Elphame, where she is found by Neraida, and taken home
-->Due to complicated Plot Laws, Felicity can never enter her world again, or her lungs will fill up with water and she'll drown, even if on dry land (or Neraida tells her this to keep her there)
-->Felicity goes off the rails for a while, but eventually calms down and gets together with Aln, although a bit half-heartedly. She and Neraida sorta become sisters.
-->Meanwhile, Neraida, on a outing to our world, meets Kit, who stumbles in on a Fae party. Rather than allowing them to kill him, she challenges him to some kind of game, which he wins because she's fallen in love with him.
-->I don't know quite what happens here, but Neraida abandons Felicity, Elphame and all the Fae to go and live with Kit in this world, because he doesn't want to go and be her consort (This should give an idea of just how much Neraida was in love with Kit)
-->Kit's (gay) brother turns up with his boyfriend (who just happens to be....DAN! What a small world). After a little confusion, Neraida realises who Dan is, they share family vibes, and they all settle down to live as family until
-->Nick is killed by Archos, who has lived with horrific guilt for many, many years, and is not quite stable (so he thinks this is the best way to get Neraida to come and talk to him) and
--> Neraida becomes pregnant with Lydia, her and Kit’s child.
-->Neraida, knowing who has killed her beloved brother-in-law, goes to see Archos in a towering rage, only to become really, really scared when they meet face to face. They have a Talk (again, gives me nightmares, but it’s getting written bit by bit)
-->He provokes her in some way about how she has lowered herself for a mortal (Kit), and although she loathes him, it strikes a chord, and when she goes back, demands that Kit come with her to Elphame so she can have her child at home. Kit agrees. Dan disappears to be lonely and miserable on his own.
-->At some point, Kit has agreed that Neraida can make him immortal, and she does so around now.
-->Neraida’s child is born. It dies during the birth. Neraida now goes off the rails and leaves everyone (again).
-->In a hospital somewhereJenny and Tom Locke a young couple have a pair of Siamese twin girls. During an operation to separate them, one dies, and Neraida takes this child (Gwen), does some complicated spells, using Gwion’s (Felicity and Aln’s son) heartbeat to help Gwen live, and goes off to raises her on her own
-->Gwen has an enviable childhood, living in such places as ancient Greece, Pre-Revolutional France, and with really old tribes in Africa. At some point they meet Dan, and he and Gwen become great friends.
-->While in France she has a fencing tutor, Raven (I know, I know), whom she falls desperately in love with. Raven, while thinking it’s just a young girl’s crush, loves her back.
-->Gwen swears a rather cringy oath to always love Raven
-->Neraida and Gwen go back to Elphame. Raven follows
-->Neraida expects for Kit to be at home waiting for her. Cue really awkward scenes while they try to tell her that Kit died (probably heart failure due to Immortal-ness), and Neraida’s terrible grief (I don’t know what she does, but it’s not pretty)
-->Gwen, finding her cousin (Gwion) too attractive by far, announces she is going to live with Raven. No one is very happy about this, but they let her go.
-->Gwen is snatched by men sent by Archos, who take her to Archos. She sulks for a while, but eventually she and Archos grow to like each other.
-->I think the original plan was to sacrifice Gwen in some occult ritual, but Archos decides he can’t do that to his great-niece, and they live together as uncle/niece, father/daughter (Gwen has never had a father – it’s a novelty), while Gwen waits for a besotted male to come and rescue her.
-->Gwion (Besotted Male #1), after fighting with Raven (Besotted Male #2) over Raven managing to lose her, starts to search for her with Raven and Neraida, until Neraida ‘Oh hells, I think I know who’s got her’ and sends them both to Archos because she’s too scared to go herself
-->Cue dramatic rescue scenes, with masked men, vaulting over walls, and constant bickering between Raven/Gwion, Gwen/Gwion and Gwen/Archos. In the fight, Archos wounds Gwen (in the stomach, destroying her womb and possibly her and Raven’s baby (not sure yet)) and Raven (in the arm, when he AMAZINGLY turns into a raven with a damaged wing), and despite screams from Gwen to rescue Raven, Gwion carries her away to safety, leaving Raven behind
-->Gwion, being a doctor, heals Gwen, who decides that maybe she was a bit hasty in swearing to love her first love forever
-->Gwen goes back for Raven once she’s better, and somehow kills Archos (haven’t really thought about this bit much)
-->Once Raven’s better, Gwen tells him that she’s now with Gwion, and Raven, not very surprised, disappears.
-->MEANWHILE, Felicity has had an affair with a man she met in the woods (who somehow wandered through without being detected. I think this happens a lot, because Neraida’s lost interest in being a really strict Queen, and Fae don’t patrol the borders much)
-->So she gives birth to Julia, Gwion’s beloved little sister. It is blatantly obvious she’s not Aln’s, because she has very dark hair, and no one in Neraida’s family has black hair (this is very significant for a reason I don’t know)
-->Gwen, knowing she can never have children, rescues a little boy from a French aristocratic family (cue exciting rescuing-children-from-Madame-Guillotine), called Etienne, and brings him to Elphame.
-->TIME PASSES. As Gwen ages, Gwion ages with her, via magic, so she won’t feel really awful. Julia and Etienne grow up, Etienne completely bested with Julia
-->Around this time in when our crossover thing is set (hang on, that means I’ve been writing Gwen a bit wrong ie, she’s not 17 anymore. Interesting *strokes non-existence beard*)
-->Etienne proclaims his deep and undying love for Julia. Julia, already involved with someone from this world (I think she was sent to school here), and not very impressed, tells him “Um, sorry, but no”
-->Etienne kills her (so much for the undying love then)
-->Gwen dies, very old, and Gwion returns to his normal, unwrinkled appearance
-->Gwen makes Neraida swear not to kill Etienne, or let anyone hurt him, because, yeah, he’s a murdering, backstabbing little bastard, but she loves him, and hates the idea of him being hunted down after her death. Neraida, reluctantly, agrees
-->And here it gets a little hazy, as after getting rid of Mattie and all her descendants, I don’t really have a bit to go here. So skip to
-->Neraida is severely weakened by something (might be keeping Fell alive, might not, don’t know) and somehow, Etienne gets near enough to cut her throat. Gwion, immediately kills Etienne (FINALLY)
-->Felicity also dies, simply because Neraida does
-->Gwion becomes King of the Fairies, and wears a really pretty crown
Of course, there’s lots of things missing, like Kit’s dead wife that they have to persuade Neraida not to dig up and dismember, and Dan’s new boyfriend, and that Gwen never really liked Julia, so maybe she asked for Etienne to be spared because she was grateful.
