Yeah, it's on pretty late over here as well, so I only rarely watch it.

I could find out the schedule and watch it earlier, but my mom's boyfriend is a television Nazi and won't let me watch anything but LOST and Wrestling, since that's what HE watches.

No...of course she didn't. She's not completely come to her senses and seen that he's a money sucking, crack-head leach.

Well, he is. And it makes me mad that she's being so STUPID about this.

*pops up from behind sofa*
I'M BACK! I had my Oxford interviews!
erm... behind the sofa...
ANYWAY! Blimey, they're EXHAUSTING. It's only a half hour interview, maybe two (THREE in my case) spread over about three days, but you get so tired waiting to hear if you've got another interview and with making new friends so you don't go crazy while waiting to hear if you've got another interview...
But it was so fun too! I made friends with a girl called Aimee who applied for Classics too. She's a fellow LOTR, dragons and swords fanatic. I also spent a lot of time with the other Classicists and some of the Law people, going to the Thorntons cafe for hot chocolate and getting cookies to eat while laughing at animal rights protestors. We considered setting up our own rally: "What do we want?" "SACRIFICED KITTENS!" "When do we want them?" "NOW!!"
I got into a heated debate with some of the other Classicists over lunch one day - they said that Dido was pathetic, and while I agreed she DID need to get a backbone, I pointed out the fact that Aeneas had turned up, stolen her heart, eaten all her food and pretty much made her give up her city for him, and then turned round and said, "Oh, sorry dear, the Gods say I've got to leave, I'll drop you a line when I have my own empire"!
Also - Constantine is such a better film when you watch it with Oxford people. At the beginning it said on the screen, '"The man who has the Spear of Destiny controls the fate of the world." The Spear of Destiny has been missing since the end of World War II' and the entire room cracked up. The Spear of Destiny is found underneath a Mexican church wrapped in a Nazi flag, and someone said, "There were Nazis in Mexico?? Who were they persecuting over there??" Someone else yelled, "This is offensive! It's time we cut those Nazi bastards some slack!"
Only problem with Oxford... my room was freezing, because the radiator only worked when the plumbing did, which wasn't often.

Did you give Aimee and the others this website address so we could horrify and sacre them with our spethal brand of insanity?

I'm going to send it to Aimee. I didn't get anyone else's e-mail.
Freakiest of coincidences - some of you might have seen those photos from the IMAX, of us being threatened by that guy dressed as an orc....
Turns out he's one of Aimee's friends.
HOW WEIRD.
