Okaaay... next chapter then. It gets considerably worse, now, I warn you... we are drawing near to the climax...
That night, all of the Fellowship assembled in the Lothlorien Ballroom. The hobbits were all dressed as mushrooms – Aragorn was dressed as a cowboy – Luke, Leia and Han had dressed as Harry, Ron and Hermione – Boromir had refused to dress up because he was sulking – and Gimli was still tied up in the yard.
Legolas, however, had dressed up as a pirate. He had tried to make himself look as handsome as possible to try and win Angel’s heart. But the party had been going on for a while now, and Angel had not appeared.
Suddenly, all the elves fell silent, and turned to look at the top of the stairs. Legolas followed their eyes, and gasped.
At the top of the stairs stood Angel, but she looked even more beautiful than she ever had before. She was wearing a tight white corset top, which left her shoulders bare but covered her arms in translucent white floaty sleeves, and a long white floaty skirt which was dusted with real mithril so that it glimmered and shimmered in the light. The skirt was loose, but hugged her slender frame, showing off her perfect figure. Her hair was loose again, cascading down from her head in black waves, and a beautiful ornate silver circlet studded with diamonds, showing her to be the daughter of the queen of the elves. She also wore a pair of large real feathered wings, and over her entire outfit was a full body veil made of finest transparent chiffon, which did not rest on her but swirled around her, invisible but causing a slight mist to shimmer around her as she moved.
All of the elves stood in awe at her amazing beauty. “An angel,” breathed Legolas in wonder. Angel saw him gazing at her, and smiled shyly. Lowering her eyes, she descended gracefully down the stairs and approached him.
“Prince Legolas,” she said, curtseying.
“Princess Angellissima,” said Legolas, bowing just as politely.
The elf band started playing ‘Everytime’ by Britney Spears. “Do you want to dance?” asked Legolas, terrified she would say no. But much to his relief, and slightly to his surprise, she nodded silently, and took one of his hands and put the other at his waist.
As they waltzed around the room, Legolas asked, “Are you – are you all right?”
Angel looked up, staring at him with her startling sapphire-emerald-silvery eyes. “No, I’m not all right,” she said honestly, “But I’m prepared to ignore that fact. More important things are going on.”
Legolas didn’t know what to say. Angel smiled. “Don’t worry,” she said, “I’m fine… to all onlookers, anyway. And that’s what matters… that’s what matters,” she added sadly.
“What matters is how YOU feel,” said Legolas in amazement, “Do you not care about yourself?”
“Of course not,” said Angel, looking shocked, “I am not important in the end… my life is a one note in the rich song that is the world.”
“But it has scarcely begun,” said Legolas, “You are very young, but you accept the trials that most adults would flee from! Why?”
“Because I am the only one who can,” replied Angel softly.
They danced together in silence for a while. “What’s in your locket?” asked Legolas finally, not for lack of something to say but lack of things to say which he felt he could.
“Oh,” said Angel, “Just a photo of my mum and dad… and a slip of paper.”
“What does it say?” asked Legolas.
“Your mind and body give you many things, but only love will give you wings,” recited Angel, “I never quite knew what it meant…”
“Wings,” said Legolas with a smile, trying to conceal the torment going on in his soul, “Like your costume. It’s beautiful.”
“Thank you,” she said, “My mother had laid it out for me… I do not know why. Maybe-”
“Angel,” said Legolas finally, unable to bear the torture any longer, “You know I love you. Please, I must hear your answer – receive my love and return it, or say one word and I will never trouble you again.”
Angel looked at him in slight surprise, as though she had been expecting this, but not quite so suddenly. Her smile faded. “Legolas,” she said, “I – I – I’m sorry, but-”
Legolas’s heart was suddenly gripped with a great wrenching pain. She was about to turn him down. He couldn’t bear to hear the words from her fair mouth. He released her and walked quickly from the ballroom, heart breaking as he did, longing for the stars and moonlight. He heard her calling after him, but walked faster and strode out of the doors.
“Hey, you been rejected?” called Gimli as Legolas strode past him, “Oooh, BUUURN!”
“Shut up, stupid dwarf!” shouted Legolas, firing an arrow at him. It struck Gimli through the heart, finally killing the stupid dwarf.
Legolas walked far through the forest, tears falling from his eyes like summer rain. He could not imagine himself being able to live without her. With his 21st birthday approaching, he would have to marry soon… he would have to return to Mirkwood, and marry whichever horrible shallow girl his cruel, wicked, abusive father forced upon him next.
He couldn’t bear to do that. He couldn’t bear to live unless she would be with him. He reached for his elvish knife, and held it in front of him, ready to drive it into his heart.
“Stop, Legolas Greenleaf!” called a voice. Legolas looked around in surprise.
“Who’s there?” he shouted.
“It I is – Yoda.”
“YODA???” gasped Legolas in shock. From behind a tree emerged the diminutive little green figure with big ears, “The spirit of the Forest!”
“Just what you know me as, that is,” laughed Yoda, approaching the gorgeous but heart-broken elf, “Also a wise master of the Force, am I. Raised Angel as a child, I did – all the ways of the Force, I taught her.”
“What- what are you doing here?” said Legolas in surprise.
“Come to stop you, I have,” said Yoda firmly, taking the knife from Legolas’s hands with the Force, “Kill yourself, you must not.”
“Why not?” said Legolas bitterly, “The girl I love does not love me back… and the Ring will most probably be recaptured by Sauron, and all Middle-earth will be destroyed.”
“Hope our most precious gift is, Legolas,” said Yoda sternly, “Waste it, you should not. Needed you will be, before all this is over. A part to play, you have.”
“What? What part can I possibly play?” said Legolas, “Angel is an amazing fighter and is skilled in magical and Jedi arts… how could Middle-earth need me, a lowly archer from Mirkwood?”
“Middle-earth needs you not,” said Yoda, “SHE needs you… and needs her, Middle-earth does.”
“But she doesn’t love me-”
“Only SAYS she doesn’t,” said Yoda, “Because to acknowledge her own feelings, she does not want. Worried she is that if she allows herself to love you, only hurt you will get, maybe killed. With that kind of guilt she cannot live… not again.”
Legolas sat down in a daze. “What must I do?” he said finally.
“By her side, stay,” said Yoda firmly, resting a tiny hand on his shoulder, “And after her look. Only a child she is, remember. On you she relies, more than you know.”
Legolas nodded dumbly. “You know,” he said to Yoda, “I thought small people were dumb… like hobbits or dwarves. But you are extremely wise.”
“Know that, I do,” said Yoda with a smile, “But Angel wiser is, and more powerful in the Force. Recognized her talent when she was a baby, I did, and in the powers of the Force I instructed her. Over, my time nearly is; the only hope for the future in her lies…”
Legolas smiled. “I know,” he said, “Without her, Middle-earth – the entire GALAXY – is doomed…”

Angel watched Legolas stride out of the ballroom, and her heart broke. She had been about to tell Legolas that she was sorry she had never admitted it before, but she did also love him – but he obviously didn’t want to know. He’d probably been joking, and was running away to laugh at her behind her back.
Tears filled her eyes, and she stumbled blindly from the ballroom, meaning to run up to her room. However, just when she was crossing the courtyard, she felt a sudden stab of pain in the arrow wound in her shoulder, and cried out – it felt like ice was spreading down her arm.
Terror gripped her. She realized what it must mean. She span round, meaning to run back into the Ballroom and warn everyone, but someone seized her roughly from behind and clapped a hand over her mouth. She screamed, but it was stifled by the hand and hardly any noise escaped. She heard whoever was holding her laugh cruelly.
“I’m very sorry about this, Princess,” she heard him say, “But there’s someone extremely eager to get his hands on you, and what can I say? I would take great pleasure in watching you die.”
It was Boromir. Angel was filled with rage, and struggled to escape, but Boromir hit her on the head with his sword hilt. She crumpled to the ground. Laughing, Boromir swept her up in his arms and strode out of Lothlorien towards where a Nazgul was waiting on a dragon.
“Here you are,” he said, “One Jedi Mage princess, as ordered.”
“Very good,” hissed the Nazgul. He looked at Angel. “She’s a pretty one,” he said, “Shame that my master already has plans for her… My master will remember your service.”
“And my payment?” said Boromir.
The Nazgul looked at him severely. “Payment?” it hissed dangerously.
“Payment,” said Boromir, “And if I don’t get it, I’ll just take this princess back to the palace and kill her before your precious master can carry out his plans.”
“Oh, will you really?” The Nazgul pulled out a sword, and stabbed Boromir through the heart. Boromir cried out and collapsed, dropping Angel. “Is that payment enough?” asked the Nazgul, chuckling. Boromir did not reply, but stared up at the stars, finally realizing what he’d done – and then died.
Angel had heard all this, only pretending to be asleep. As soon as Boromir fell, she sprang to her feet and ran away as fast as she could back to Lothlorien, screaming for help.
The Nazgul cursed, and leapt onto the dragon. The dragon took off and swept after Angel, roaring as it gained on her. Desperately, Angel felt around for Legolas, and sensed him just a little way ahead – bursting into the clearing, she just managed to see him talking to Yoda, and both of them looking up at her in confusion, and their eyes widening in horror as they saw the Nazgul, when she felt the Nazgul’s arm snatching her around the waist, and he swept her onto the dragon.
“LEGOLAS!!! PLEASE!!! HELP ME!!” she screamed in terror as the dragon soared up into the sky.
“ANGEL!!! NO!!!” yelled Legolas, running after the dragon. Leaping up after her, he just managed to grab onto her hand. But the Nazgul struck him on the head and, stunned, he let go.
“NO!! LEGOLAS!!!!” screamed Angel, seeing him plummet back down to the clearing and land spread-eagled on the ground, eyes closed. “LEGOLAS!!!”
“Silence,” hissed the Nazgul. Angel suddenly felt gripped with ice, spreading from the arrow wound in her shoulder, and shuddered to feel his arm still around her waist, holding her onto the dragon. “You have an appointment with my master… he is most eager to see you.”
“No!” cried Angel, and struggled to get free.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” warned the Nazgul, “It’s a very long way down.”
“I don’t care,” said Angel angrily, eyes glinting fiercely in the moonlight, “I’d rather die than be his captive!”
The Nazgul hissed angrily, and suddenly gripped Angel on the shoulder. Angel gasped as the ice stabbed her straight in the heart, and spread through her chest – she couldn’t breathe, she was just so cold…
She fainted, collapsing against the Nazgul. With an evil laugh, the Nazgul directed the dragon towards Mordor.
Just so you know... I had to write all this, and the rest of it, within about two days to meet the deadline. Creating such cheesiness when I'm lactose intolerant nearly made me have a nervous breakdown. I am sorry to inflict it upon you. Breathe through the pain.

Aaaand one last little bit for luck. I'm considering posting this on ff.net under another name and seeing whether I get any good reviews...
“Up wake! Up wake, you must!”
Legolas felt himself returning to consciousness and heard the distressed little shouts. He tried to move, and groaned – his entire body hurt. What had happened?
Suddenly it all came rushing back – Yoda – Angel – the Nazgul –
“ANGEL!” Legolas’s eyes flew open and he sat bolt upright. He scanned the skies – there was no sign of them.
“Hurry, you must!” urged Yoda, “Captured Angel, the Enemy has! Get back to Lothlorien you must, and help get!”
“I will!” said Legolas, springing to his feet and taking off at a sprint towards Lothlorien, “Thank you, Yoda!”
He raced through the trees and emerged back in Lothlorien. “HELP! SOMEONE! HELP!” he shouted.
“What is it?” said Luke, Leia, Han and the Fellowship, running out of the Ballroom when they heard his shout.
“Angel’s been kidnapped!!” said Legolas.
“NO!” said everyone in anger and alarm. Frodo was so distraught that he burst into tears, and Sam gave him a comforting hug, though barely keeping himself from crying as well.
“What can we do?” said Leia in shock.
“I’m going after her,” said Legolas, “I have to save her.”
“But-” said Aragorn, but Luke interrupted.
“No, Aragorn,” he said, “Legolas must do this alone. This is clearly his destiny, and the reason he came into my sister’s life… only he can save her.”
Aragorn nodded silently. “But how will you find her?” said Leia.
“I don’t-” Suddenly a shadow cut out the moon. Legolas looked up, and a large smile broke onto his face as a shape swooped down from the stars. “Avalon!” he said in amazement as the winged unicorn landed in front of him, “You really are the most intelligent of animals.”
“I know I am,” replied Avalon, tossing her beautiful mane, “If you seek Angel, I know where Boromir is taking her. But I can only carry one.”
“That’s all right,” said Legolas, “I’m the only one going.” Swiftly he leapt up onto Avalon’s back.
“Legolas!” shouted Luke, and threw up his lightsaber to the elf. Legolas caught it in surprise. “Take it – it is the only way to defeat Sith.”
“But I’m not a Jedi,” said Legolas in surprise.
“Not yet,” said Luke, “But you obviously have the potential. Just use the Force – and hurry!”
Legolas opened his mouth to argue, but then felt the power of the lightsaber flow tingling up his arm into his heart. The weapon felt right in his hand. He could be a Jedi.
“Thank you,” he said. Luke smiled. Legolas whispered in Avalon’s ear “Noro lim, Avalon.” Avalon whinnied and sprang up into the air, spreading her wide wings and soaring into the sky.

I've been reserving judgement on this until I can attain the proper level of acerbicism.
The message is quite simple - No-one can write a Mary Sue like that and not have experience. It's time to tell us the truth; who are you really, Katie - IF INDEED THAT IS YOUR NAME!

She was somewhere cold… cold she had never felt before. It felt as though she was in a prison of ice, with no way to escape.
Suddenly, she heard a cruel voice echo around her prison. “Wake her up,” it ordered. She suddenly felt someone seize her, and drag her through the ice… her eyes flew open.
She was in a dark stone room. There was one window on one wall, showing a red barren landscape beyond. Terror struck her heart; she was in Mordor. She couldn’t move – she had been tied up, chained to the wall with manacles. She still felt cold, and realized that most of her dress had been torn off. Her corset had tears in it and the sleeves had been ripped off, and her skirt had almost been completely torn off, hanging in shreds around her thighs.
She couldn’t see anyone – not at first, anyway. But then two people stepped out of the shadows. Actually, not people… one machine, and one abomination.
“This is the girl I have told you about so much, Sauron,” said Darth Vader, “The Jedi Mage.”
Sauron’s massive burning eyeball hovered next to Darth Vader, illuminating the room with a terrible fiery red light. He surveyed Angel – Angel fought not to scream as she felt his gaze pierce her, pin her down so that she couldn’t move.
“She looks like her mother,” he said finally, with an evil laugh, “But she has elements of her father about her…”
“Let me go, you monster!” shouted Angel, and spat at them.
“Her temper, for one,” added Sauron.
“How DARE you talk about my father?” said Angel angrily, “He was an honourable man! Who fought for what was good, and right! You’re – you’re an abominable fiend!”
“Why, thank you, my dear,” said Sauron, “Vader, I wish more than ever I had my body back… she would make the perfect wife.”
“All in good time, my friend,” said Vader. He strode up to Angel and held out a hand – using the Force, he unfastened her shackles and lifted her into the air so that he was looking straight into her eyes. Angel struggled, but she was unable to move.
“You spoke of your father,” he said, stroking her chin, “What else do you know about him?”
“He was Anakin Skywalker,” snapped Angel, filled with a fierce pride, “He fought for the Rebel Alliance.”
“And?” asked Vader.
“And,” hissed Angel, filled with so much rage she could barely contain it, “YOU killed him.”
“I did?” said Vader innocently, “Did you hear that, Sauron?”
“I most certainly did,” laughed Sauron, “Incredible – Luke didn’t tell her?”
“I suppose not,” said Vader.
“Tell me what?” said Angel, trying to sound brave, but fear suddenly taking hold on her.
Darth Vader laughed. “Are you sure you want to know?”
Angel tried to nod, but her head was being held still by the Force. “Yes,” she said.
“Very well,” said Darth Vader, “Angel… I am your father.”
Angel’s heart almost stopped in shock. “You’re lying,” she said shakily.
“Why would I bother doing that?” said Vader, “Like it or not, I am your father… which makes my brother Sauron here your uncle.”
Angel stared at them both wildly, her mind racing. “No,” she cried, “No, no, NO-”
“Yes, yes, yes,” said Sauron, “It is surprising Luke didn’t tell you… he knew, after all.”
“He knew??” said Angel in shock.
“Yes. I told him at Bespin,” said Vader airily, “I wonder why he didn’t mention anything? Maybe he thought you were too young to deal with it…”
Angel couldn’t bear to look at them any more. She stared down at the ground, allowing her hair to fall over her face and hide her falling tears.
“Enough friendly banter,” said Sauron suddenly, “This may surprise you, princess, but we didn’t just bring you here for our own pleasure. We have a business proposition for you.”
“Whatever it is, I’m not interested,” said Angel angrily.
“The time where you could make choices has past,” said Sauron.
“Now, now, Sauron,” said Vader, “That’s not entirely true. She may either give us the Fourth Elven Ring and join the Dark Side – or she may die.”
Angel stared at them both. “Never!” she cried defiantly, “I will not give you the Ring, OR join the Dark Side, and I will die when I myself choose!”
“So sure, are you?” said Sauron, eye flashing in anger.
“Yes, I am! I would die before giving in to either of you – and I’m guessing that you are aware, just as I am, that Adyra cannot be taken by force, whether the bearer is alive or dead, or I am sure I would have woken up with it missing. So you will not kill me at least until you have Adyra, for whatever reason. Which puts you in rather a pickle.”
Sauron glared – and flames suddenly shot from his eye towards Angel. “No!” shouted Vader, and the flames peeled away from her at the last second. “Control your temper, brother.”
“Why should I?” shouted Sauron, “I have been waiting for so long – so long!”
“That’s what you want Adyra for, isn’t it?” said Angel, “To return to your true body, so that you may conduct your armies all the better and search for the Ring yourself. Well, you’re not getting it.”
“You will give us the ring,” snarled Sauron angrily.
“Shan’t,” replied Angel defiantly.
“There is no point in resisting,” said Darth Vader, “We will regain the One Ring eventually, and then my brother will return to bodily form – and the Emperor will use it to harness greater powers from the Force, and we will finally crush the rebel alliance.”
“If you’re so sure,” said Angel, “then why do you need Adyra?”
“Dark Lords are not the most patient of beings,” said Darth Vader, “We are merely making you an offer – you may end the prolonged suffering of the Galaxy and end things quickly, and take your place at the Emperor’s side as his apprentice, as Boba Fett failed so miserably; or you may wait with us, till the end, and then finally die, without a hope, without anyone next to you as you enter the darkness beyond this world. Alone.”
Angel shivered at his words. His mention of Boba Fett had caught her off guard, and tears again slid down her cheek. Though she found it extremely difficult to do so, she said, “Nothing will make me turn to the Dark Side… NOTHING.”
Darth Vader sighed. “I can see I’ve failed in persuading you. We must see whether the Emperor can do any better. Sauron, summon my ship.”
Sauron glided over to the wall and pressed a button. Immediately, the window opened, and at the same time, a spaceship arose from a hole in the floor. Darth Vader raised his hand, and she was pulled towards him across the floor. He grabbed onto her and dragged her towards the open ship.
“No! No!” she screamed, “You can’t do this! I’m your daughter!”
“Oh, I thought you were denying that,” said Darth Vader, “Well, it’s too late now. Don’t worry – I think you’ll find the Emperor, your grandfather, to be quite charming. And very, very persuasive.”
Angel struggled, but Darth Vader was too strong. Tears ran freely down her face as hope started to leave her – there really was no escape…
Oh noes! Will Angel really be taken to the Emperor?? Will Legolas get there in time?? And how the hell can Sauron and Darth Vader be brothers??? Will the entire world be destroyed just by the sheer crapness of this story??? WAIT AND SEE!!!
