I just read The Fifth Elephant by... By... Oh, curses, what's his name?
You should know, Katie, you got me started on him by mentioning his name in your Bio on FF.net...
Erg... Author of the Discworld stuff, you know.... OH This is driving me NUTS!
Ah well... Him.
It's REALLY good! Amazing! It's got insane humor with a plot that I could follow, and it was so preeeeetty...
Sorry. Good book. I wanted to get more out of the series, I think I only got 2 or three, but by then I had 6 books and dad was getting irritated...
[edit] Oh wow... I actually wrote up there, "You should no, Katie..." Ooh, that hurts...

Terry Pratchett?
My favourite books are:
Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (of course)
Sabriel, Lirael and Abhorsen (a trilogy with no overall title)
The Edge Chronicles, which no-one else seems to have read, except Frankie's little brother
The Keys to the Kingdom series - only two out so far, Mister Monday and Grim Tuesday.
Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, blah blah blah.
Pirates! Yes, with an exclamation mark.
But out of all those, the Edge Chronicles are the only ones where I actually seriously cared about the characters. Apart from Marvin, of course.
But for the few weeks after I discovered them, my friends would come into my study and find me sitting under the desk reading a different Edge Chronicle, occasionally shouting "NOOOOOO!!!!"
I want to turn them into films...

*Scribbles down all the names of those books*
My sister tends to like books by Gary Paulson. Anyone ever heard of him? He writes about kids (usually a boy) who gets stranded somewhere or something along those lines. She always wants me to read them, but I always seem to be in the middle of LotR. Heh.

I'm currently reading The Reptile Room by Lemony Snicket and The Ruby and the Stone by Philip Pullman, which is a random book my brother got out of the school library and now I've hijacked it. Well, he gave me permission. It's kinda strange, but I wanna know what happens, so I'm reading it...

I liked The Hounds of the Morrigan.
I also like The Dragonlance Chronicles a GREAT deal, as well as most books by MArgaret Weis and Tracy Hickman.
I like a great deal more, but none come to mind...

I bought some book the other month. I can't remember who wrote it. I think it's called "A Shadow in the Glass". The story summary caught my eye, but I haven't had a chance to read it yet... yeah.
