I don't know what to doooooo!!!
My main option is Medicine. I've wanted to be a doctor from when I was really little - a baby, literally - my A Levels are mainly sciencey, it's a reliable career and pretty much a free pass to New Zealand.
BUT, I'm starting to doubt whether it's what I really want to do, and it's really difficult to get into Medical School.
Another option is Classics. This is good because I'm really interested in Classical Civilization, I'm already doing Latin so Aramaic and Greek should be fine (HA!) and hardly anyone does it so I could probably get into one of the top universities.
BUT, as I said - hardly anyone does it. So what career would I go into?? Apart from a Classics teacher, a Classics scholar who just reads classical literature all day (sounds cool, but would probably get boring) or something completely unrelated to classics? And besides, I'd hardly get a visa to New Zealand with just a Classics degree to support me.
And the final option is Creative Writing. Imagine... writing for a living... sounds BRILLIANT.
BUT, I'm not taking any English subjects for A Level so I'd have to go to Sixth Form college and take A Levels all over again, and there are hardly any of those universities anyway, and again, it's less likely to get me to New Zealand.
As you may have guessed, I'm moving to New Zealand as soon as I'm out of uni. Another good thing about medicine - you get a 3-6 month posting at a hospital in another country. You get to choose the country. 3-6 MONTHS IN NEW ZEALAND!!!! My cousin chose Barbados...
Oh, and another thing. I don't have to become a doctor. My cousin became the medical adviser on 'Casualty', the English more boring version of ER.
Yeah... medicine seems best. What do you think?
